This is the "chateau de Présilly" remainings, standing in the mountains of Jura, France
Chateau de Présilly (Jura, France)
This is the doors of the Chateau de Présilly ruins, standing high above the floor. You can imagine the former bridge.
A splendid sight see from the castle, with the Jura mountains and forest behind the ruins, by a nice shiny day.
A view of the "indoor" (which is now outdoor). The castle has been inhabited from 1423 to 1637, first by Nicolas ROLIN.
The stronghold has been restored by a priest, since 1949 and is now maintained by an association working all summers for visits, stabilizing forfitication and making archeological searches.
A wider sight of the door side, letting imagine what was the size of the castle in its living time. A huge sentinel on the top of the hill.
