On the first day we went around the town, visited beach. Klaipeda has good beaches, so it was really pleasant to swim and enjoy the sun. Not so many tourists as in Palanga, more clean water & sand.
Klaipeda is calm town. Most of youth has gone to study in the Europe (Germany, England, etc.). But we have found some nice pubs and cafes. Very delicious cuisine!
On the third day we went to Nida. This town is placed on the Curonian Spit (Lithuanian: Kuršių nerija). It is a 98 km long, thin, curved sand-dune spit that separates the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea coast. Its southern portion lies within Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia and its northern within southwestern Lithuania. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site shared by the two countries.
We fell in love with this white sand, forests and not very warm but clean water. Need to visit!
Next we went to Tallinn. It is a small capital of Estonia, but very friendly. For three days we been here, we saw no policeman. Old town is not so big as in Riga or Prague, but too lovely with cafes on each corner. And not only in centre. We found nice place to have a breakfast. Café – Kohvik Boheem, Kopli st. 18/
All people going to visit Tallinn need to go the Lennusadam Museum. You can go there on foot, 20 minutes from Old Town. Incredible ships and their history. You can visit old submarine Lembit. Uhhhh! And next you should go to the port, and visit great ice-breaker boat.
Ticket for all – 10 euros.
The highest and most beautiful observation desk is Oleviste Kirk. You should get over many-many steps to reach the top of the tower. FYI, St Olaf's was part of the united western tradition of Christianity, whose polity continues in the Roman Catholic Church today. In 1590, the total height of the church tower was 115–125 m. The tower has been hit by lightning around ten times, and the whole church has burned down three times throughout its known existence. Following several rebuildings, its overall height is now 123.7 meters
And to take a rest from all these sightseeing’s we decided to go to the Energia Center. It is scientific museum for children. It has café, theater, WC, wifi and a lot of funny and cognitive exhibit. You should touch them, push all buttons and enjoy:) We have been there near for 1.5 hour.
