We started our tour from Shiroi-koibito park.
This is a factory where my guests enjoy our local specialty chocolate sandwiches named Shiroi-Koibito
literally, white lover.
It consists of chocolate sandwiched between langue de chat.
This is manufactured and sold by Japanese confectionery maker Ishiya Co.
After lunch, we walked around canal district.
My guests enjoyed seeing the old warehouses and beautiful scenery of area.
Otaru is the one of first international port in Japan and many foreign cultures were introduced.
That's why you can seea a fusion of Japanese and western culture and many artists prefer to settle down in Otaru.
I took my guests to former prefectural government office in Sapporo.
This building was build in 1888 and it is Neo Baroque style which was in fashion at that time in USA.
This building is called "Aka-renga" literally red bricks because building is made of red bricks.
This is the one of symbols in Sapporo.
